The Hundred 2025, Match 08: Trent Rockets vs Northern Superchargers full match highlights and scorecard

Both Trent Rockets and Northern Superchargers meet each other for the eighth fixture of The Hundred 2025 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. They entered the eighth encounter of the event with wins already under their belt. The home side decided to retain the same playing eleven for the contest. 

Northern Superchargers made just one change from the last encounter, where they left out David Miller and brought Graham Clark into the playing eleven. The home side captain, David Willey, won the toss and decided to bowl first, following the trend of the competition where chasing becomes easy in the second innings.

Northern Superchargers limp their way to 124/9

None of the top three batters of the Superchargers were able to extend their innings, as they ended up with single-digit scores. The captain, Harry Brook, however, rescued themselves from the position and smashed 45 runs in 30 deliveries at a strike rate of 150, with the help of five boundaries and a couple of sixes.

Graham Clark nailed 36 runs in 22 balls at a strike rate of 163.64, scoring four boundaries and one six. Matthew Potts remained unbeaten on 12 runs and got 124/9 in their allotted 100 balls in the first innings.

Trent Rockets complete chase with four balls to spare 

The home side had a fabulous start for the opening stand of 57 runs in 39 balls as Tom Banton smacked 37 runs in 25 balls at a strike rate of 148, with the help of seven boundaries. Joe Root looked unsettled for his 20 runs in 17 balls at a strike rate of over 117, with one four and one six.

Imad Wasim, the left-arm spinner, picked up both those two wickets. Mohammed Amir looked to get inside the line of the delivery, to which Rehan Ahmed whipped in over the rope for a boundary. They ended up chasing the target with four balls to spare.
