Sam Curran smacked 34 runs in 19 balls at a strike rate of 178.95 with the help of three boundaries and two sixes. They posted the highest score of The Hundred of 226/4 in their allotted 100 balls.
Welsh Fire's poor batting gift Oval 83-run victory
Welsh Fire lost both openers, Eskinazi and Steve Smith, inside 11 balls for 12 runs. Luke Wells drilled 29 runs in 18 balls at a strike rate of two fours and as many sixes at a strike rate of 161.11. However, Jonny Bairstow continue to nail the bowlers around the park as he celebrated a fine half-century and kept the hopes alive for the tourits. But he perished soon after the landmark with 50 with five fours and three sixes at a strike rate of nearly 180.
Since then, they kept losing wickets regularly and never got the chase going. Tom Curran picked up four wickets in the second innings while Jason Behrendroff comntribited three wickets in the fixture. Oval earned a victory by 83 runs.
