Match Details

  • Match: Birmingham Phoenix vs Trent Rockets
  • Venue: Edgbaston
  • Date: Friday, August 8, 2025.

In Match 4 of The Hundred at Edgbaston, a mere six wickets later, Trent Rockets raced to a fairly comfortable victory over Birmingham Phoenix. Phoenix battled to post a score after tumbling to 24/3 but managed a decent season high of 122/6. Liam Livingstone (39 off 30) and Joe Clarke (29) were the only two who managed to provide frustrating obstacles to the Trent Rockets bowlers. Lockie Ferguson, for the Trent Rockets, claimed 3 wickets for 20 runs and ruined Phoenix's batting order. In reply, fluid batting from Tom Banton (43 off 29) and a brisk 25 off 16 from Rehan Ahmed left little worry in the run chase. The unbeaten 22 off 13 Max Holden led the Trent Rockets to victory with 22 deliveries remaining, while batting with confidence and certainly improved their net run rate as they climbed up the table.
