During Match 6 (Cardiff), London Spirit managed 163/5, with David Warner playing a key role with 70* and finally getting his first half-century in The Hundred as he was awarded Player of the Match. Welsh Fire were in dire straits at 55/6, but Jonny Bairstow turned the game as he played a remarkable innings of 86* (50) with 6 sixes and almost secured the victory. Luke Wood, however, held his nerve at the death, as he and his team secured a thrilling eight-run win for London Spirit.
