Yashasvi Jaiswal emphasizes how the presence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma helped the team. The young Indian opener explains why the seasoned pair is important for the team to shape up nicely.

Jaiswal was the guest in the live program of the Agenda AajTak summit. From the stage, he expressed a lot of things about Virat and Rohit. According to Jaiswal, both of the icons treat them like brothers; words from their mouths encouraged the players in the dressing room. Jaiswal further stated that as Rohit and Virat have been playing for so many years, they have become the source of inspiration for the cricketers around them.

"Rohit and Virat being in the Indian team is of huge help. Just from the things that they discuss in the dressing room, you learn about the game. We get motivated by seeing them—the way they have played at such a high intensity for so many years. We get motivated. They teach us like little brothers. They tell us to not commit the mistakes that they did, not only as cricketers but as humans as well," Jaiswal said.

Yashasvi Jaiswal said about the importance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma:

Jaiswal recently registered a century against South Africa in the ODI format. With his unbeaten century, Team India claimed an emphatic win. During his batting in the match in Visakhapatnam, Jaiswal had to pair up with Sharma and Kohli. The opener shared how Rohit, his opening partner, helped him mentally to get a good score.

"When I started my innings, I was nervous because I hadn’t scored runs in my previous two matches. During that inning, Rohit Bhai talked to me a lot. He kept explaining how I could play & what I could do. I was under pressure because I had played quite a few dot balls, and I also had to think about maintaining a good strike rate. That’s when Rohit Bhai told me, ‘You play calmly; I’ll take the risks.’ And you could see how big-hearted he was; he was taking most of the risks because he wanted me to settle in and keep playing."
