An absolute captain's knock by Baba Aparajith. With his unbeaten 77 and Vijay Shankar's 41 not out, Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) successfully thrashed Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT) with 8 wickets in hand and 24 balls to spare.

Because of ITT's poor bowling performance, their batting effort looked not enough to offer a neck-to-neck fight. Tushar Raheja's 79 was the best batting of the evening, but unfortunately for a losing cause.
Toss and the first innings:
In game 2 of TNPL 2025, CSG skipper Baba Aparajith chose to bowl first after winning the toss. ITT faced trouble at the very first over of the match as they lost one of their openers, Amith Sathvik (0), too early. Though his opening partner Tushar stood tall and delivered a stellar batting display, scoring 79 of 43. The number 4 batter of the Tamizhans' lineup supported the innings with his significant 38. Apart from these two, ITT did not manage to produce a combined batting effort, and they were restricted to 173 in 20 overs. Abhishek Tanwar and Vijay Shankar claimed 2 wickets each for CSG.
Second innings:
Batting second, Aparajith was at the top of his game, initially supported by RS Mokit Hariharan (46), and later Shankar (41*) stitched a match-winning partnership with the captain. Due to the controlled innings from the trio, ITT bowlers couldn't find enough space to put a barricade to block Chepauk's cruising innings. CSG comfortably won the match by 8 wickets.
