TNPL 2025: Salem Spartans vs Chepauk Super Gillies full match highlights

Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) entered into the next stage as the first team of the ongoing TNPL 2025. So far, they remain unbeaten in the preliminary stage. In game 17 of the tournament against Salem Spartans (SS), CSG clinched a 6-wicket victory. A. K. Rehman and N. Jagadeesan produced a half-century knock to secure their 5th win in a row. The 4-time champion will play their next game against Trichy Grand Cholas on June 23. 

Toss and the first innings:

After winning the toss, CSG skipper Baba Aparajith elected to bowl first. Spartans set a competitive score of 160, batting first. J. Prem Kumar claimed 3 wickets with a 4.75 economy rate and got the man of the match award. In the middle overs of the first innings, Kumar hardly offered any room to SS batters to increase their run rate. S. Abishiek's 47 was the best for the batting-first side. 

Second innings:

After a 73-run partnership by the opening pair almost wrote the fate of the game. The openers of CSG, Rehman and R. Hariharan, scored 56 and 32 individually, respectively. After the fall of the first wicket, Jagadeesan (50) held the steering and drove the team safely to the finish line.
