Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain and rising India cricketer Rajat Patidar has etched his name in the IPL record books by becoming the second-fastest Indian to reach 1,000 runs in the tournament. This milestone further establishes Patidar as a serious contender for a future spot in India’s T20 international squad, thanks to his consistency and aggressive stroke play.

With this feat, Rajat Patidar trails only Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan, who remains the quickest Indian to reach the 1,000-run milestone, having achieved the landmark in just 25 innings. Patidar, on the other hand, reached the same mark in 30 innings, making him the fastest within the RCB franchise and placing him second overall among Indian batters. The top four fastest Indians to reach 1,000 IPL runs by innings are now led by Sudharsan (25), followed by Patidar (30), with legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar and Chennai Super Kings' Ruturaj Gaikwad tied in third place, each achieving the milestone in 31 innings.
