Vijay Shankar tried to keep CSK in the game with a steady knock of 69 not out from 54 balls. MS Dhoni gave CSK fans hope with a late push to score runs in the last overs, scoring 30 runs from 26 balls, including a big six and a boundary.

But the required run rate kept going up, and CSK could only reach 158/5 in 20 overs. Delhi’s win helps them move up in the points table, while CSK will look to bounce back in their next match.
