Uncapped Indian batter adds 675 runs in six innings ahead of IPL 2026

Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction, several uncapped Indians have been in good touch in the domestic circuit. Ayush Badoni, a Lucknow Super Giants cricketer, is also one of those batters who scored tons of runs in recent matches.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction, several uncapped Indians have been in good touch in the domestic circuit. Ayush Badoni, a Lucknow Super Giants cricketer, is also one of those batters who scored tons of runs in recent matches.

In the quarter finals of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2025, the middle-order batter slammed a double hundred against East Zone while representing North Zone, which marked his second double hundred in his First Class cricket career. During the second innings against East Zone, Badoni registered an unbeaten 204-run knock off 223 balls before settling the game for a draw.

During his well-controlled innings, the emerging batter smashed 13 boundaries and 3 boundaries. In the first innings, the Delhi-born harvested 63 runs against 60 balls. After bundling East Zone for 230 runs in the first innings against 405, North Zone was already one step ahead for a semifinal fixture.

Badoni's mesmerizing form in domestic cricket 

Ayush Badoni came under the spotlight when IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants signed him back in 2022. Since then, the highly talented batter has been an integral part of the team. More than his batting fireworks in IPL, Badoni's recent domestic stats are enough to amazee cricket fans. the double century against East Zone, his domestic career tally took a massive jump. According to his current domestic cricket career numbers, the 25-year-old accumulated 675 runs at an average of 168.75 in his last 6 red-ball assignments,, powered by a couple of double centuries and three fifty-plus scores. 

Before these six matches, the Delhi-born bagged 655 runs in 11 first-class matches at an average of 40.9. In total, the promising batsman attached 1,330 runs to his name at an average of 66.5. As North Zone progressed to the semifinals of the Duleepleep Trophy, Badoni will get more opportunities to improve his runtally.
