An unexpected guest interrupted the opener of The Hundreds at The Lord's cricket ground. The crowd at the stadium thrilled to see a fox running across the outfield area when the game was in full swing between London Spirit and Oval Invincibles.

The incident occurred as the Invincibles Was looking to chase down the target for a win, and with Spirit pacer Daniel Worrall about to deliver. Then the fox stepped into the field and decided to put in a sprint. The crowds at The Lord's were amused to see the incident; Stuart Broad and Eoin Morgan, the commentators on air, were also left in amusement about the incident. They wondered how to get the animal off the ground without causing any harm. 

The fox, without anyone's help, get out of the field after a while. After making some ground running, it found a way to take an exit. The fox jumped over the advertising boards and disappeared.

Summary of the match

The opening match of the Hundred 2025 saw the defending champions, the Oval Invincibles, secure a comfortable win over the London Spirit. London Spirit, led by Kane Williamson, went to bat first after winning the toss, but their decision proved wrong as they started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Only three Spirit players were able to get their runs in double digits. Williamson himself scored only 9 runs. Oval Invincibles chased down the 81-run target without any serious threats. Rashid Khan was awarded the man of the match award for his standoutbowling display and precision while fielding. Khan claimed 3 wickets and completed 3 catches as well for the Oval Invincibles. 

Rashid Khan said after the match, "It was nice to get the start with the win, and to perform for the team was amazing. It was a good start for me. I've been off the game these past two months, but it's good to go back."
