Salman Nizar has been making headlines for his whirlwind batting during a match against Adani Trivandrum Royals on Sunday. The lower middle-order batter of Calicut Globstars hammered 86 runs off just 26 balls. With his tremendous batting work, Calicut won the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) clash by 13 runs in Thiruvananthapuram.

Cricket fans are now curious to know more about Salman Nizar; on social media platforms, there are too many posts to praise his batting work. In a recent post, an interesting fact was unveiled about Salman Nazir. He was about to play in last season's Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), but in the end, he could not succeed. According to the claim, Nazir was called for trials of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the mid-season of IPL 2025. There were other talented players as well, including Ayush Mhatre. Salman Nazir is yet to get a chance in the IPL team.

After the heroic batting, fans are hoping to see him in the cash-rich league soon. In the ongoing Kerala Cricket League, the southpaw has been in brilliant form. The 28-year-old already got three half-centuries in 6 games, including an unbeaten 86 off 26. He was in song during the Ranji Trophy as well. The Kerala-born struck two consecutive hundreds in the tournament: 150 against Bihar and 112* against Jammu and Kashmir.

A finisher waiting for his oppertunity

Nazir mostly came as a number 5 or as a number 6 batter—the positions mostly known for finishers in limited-over games. In the way Salman Nizar has been batting in KCL 2025, scouts from IPL franchises must note the talented cricketer who has the potential to serve a team for multiple seasons.

During the game against Adani Trivandrum Royals, Salman smashed 11 sixes off 13 balls, including a 40-run final over. In the 19th over, he boosted up the scoreboard by adding 31 runs powered by 5 sixes. In the final over, against Abhijith Praveen, Nizar hit 6 sixes in all 6 legal deliveries.
