Vaibhav Suryavanshi put his name in some special record books
Youngest List A century
While the 14-year-and-272-day-old Vaibhav scored his maiden List A hundred, he became the youngest batter to record a men's List A century.
2nd fastest century in Vjay Hazare Trophy history
With the 36-ball century, Vaibhav recorded the second fastest century in Vijay Hazare Trophy history, just behind the record of Punjab's Anmolpreet Singh's 35-ball century against Arunachal Pradesh in December 2024. While Vaibhav recorded the second fastest List A century by an Indian, it was also the joint fourth fastest hundred in the history of List A cricket.
Fastest List A 150
With his 59-ball 150 runs, Vaibhav recorded the fastest 150 runs in List A cricket history, where it has been recorded. The previous fastest recorded knock was 64-ball 150 runs by South African cricketer AB de Villiers against the West Indies in 2015.
Missed fastest List A 200
New Zealand's Chad Bowes holds the record for the fastest List A double-century, which he completed in 103 balls for Canterbury against Otago in October 2024. So, Vaibhav had a clear chance to set a new record for the fastest List A double-century.
Joint 2nd most sixes in a Vijay Hazare Trophy innings
With 15 sixes, Vaibhav recorded the joint second most sixes in an innings in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The record is 16 sixes by Ruturaj Gaikwad during his 220-run innings for Maharashtra against Uttar Pradesh in 2022.
