Venues in consideration for India's upcoming home series against New Zealand
India and New Zealand are scheduled to play three ODIs and five T20Is in January 2026.

As per the recent developments, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC) has handpicked eight venues for India's upcoming white-ball home series against New Zealand. The series will start from January 2026 and will feature three ODIs and five T20Is. Venues from diverse parts of India have been chosen for this white-ball series. As India looks forward to hosting the Kiwis, as many as eight stadiums from cities like Nagpur, Guwahati, Trivandrum, Indore, Mohali, Rajkot, Hyderabad, and Jaipur find themselves in hot contention to host the limited-overs series early in 2026.
While the venues for the New Zealand series are yet to be finalized, the BCCI have already made a decision on finalizing the venues for the West Indies and South Africa white-ball series. According to the latest reports from Cricbuzz, India will face the West Indies in two Tests in Ahmedabad and Delhi. Subsequently, the Blues will take on the 2024 T20 World Cup runners-up South Africa in a series of two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is. While the Tests are scheduled to be held in Kolkata and Guwahati, the ODIs will be hosted by Ranchi, Raipur, and Vizag.

What else is in the pipeline for the BCCI?
The New Zealand white-ball series will officially mark the end of India's home calendar. After facing the Kiwis, India, the defending champions, will gear up to prepare for the 2026 T20 World Cup that will be jointly hosted by them and Sri Lanka. This topic will be a key point of discussion in BCCI's upcoming Apex Council Meeting, which will be held on June 14. The finalization of the eight venues is expected in due course following the end of the Apex Council Meeting.
A number of key issues will be presented to the governing body, the most pressing of them all is to formulate sophisticated crowd control measures to prevent the Bangalore tragedy from happening again. Other things include the finalization of the domestic calendar year for the 2025-26 season and the amendment to the procedure of age verification.
