Rohit Sharma is currently in Australia with Team India to play an ODI series against the home team. After winning the Champions Trophy 2025, it will be his first assignment with the Men in Blue. The India vs. Australia One Day International series is scheduled to start on October 19; ahead of that, the former India captain spent a lot of time in net sessions.

Ahead of the highly anticipated series, BCCI surprisingly removed Rohit Sharma from the captaincy role and assigned Shubman Gill to the position. After years, the Mumbaikar will play for his nation only as a batter, not as a captain. It was reported that he has the desire to play the next ODI World Cup as well.
