‘I remember seeing Virat Kohli once when he was like a newcomer in a nightclub, I think. And I remember him once saying, 'You see, I'm going to be the biggest cricketer, ' overheard him saying it to some people. And he was a newcomer at that time. He's younger than me, so I've seen that, and he's had his ups and the glorious career that he's had.’ He expressed during the discussion.
Mohit Suri reveals reason for using Virat Kohli’s name in Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara
Virat Kohli truly is a Legend. I'm a huge fan of Virat Kohli. You'll have people who make scores and break records but if you want to be remembered forever, you have to live the life that Virat lived. He's given to cricket a lot. I just wanted this analogy to make music, not by just making a hit, not just scoring a century, but giving something back to music like how Virat has. So all power to him, man.’ He added.
Kohli is currently the third leading run-getter across formats with 27599 runs in 617 innings at an average of 52.27 and a strike rate of nearly 80 with 82 centuries and 143 half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 254 runs. He has already retired from the shortest and longest formats of the game and eyes to feature in the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup.
Kohli’s last game came during the IPL 2025 final when he lifted the title for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the very first time. But, the fans keep waiting for the Delhi batter returning to the action again in the tri-colours.
