Earlier in the evening, RCB produced a complete team performance to beat Gujarat Titans in the final. After winning the toss, captain Rajat Patidar chose to bowl first. Gujarat Titans struggled to score freely and finished on 155/8 in their 20 overs. Washington Sundar top-scored with an unbeaten 50, while Rasikh Salam Dar starred for RCB with figures of 3/27. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood also picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 156, RCB completed the target with five wickets in hand. Virat Kohli led the way with an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls and remained at the crease until the end. Rashid Khan picked up two wickets for GT, but it was not enough to stop Bengaluru. Kohli fittingly finished the match with a huge six as RCB lifted their second consecutive IPL trophy before celebrating long into the night.
