“I'd say where I went into ultra instinct mode was the T20 against Pakistan in Melbourne. I had never experienced adrenaline like that in my career, since or before. I've had many games where, you know, we won matches from situations where even Mohali against Australia was tough.” The veteran Indian batter expressed in the interaction.
“This was, like, elevated me to a place where I had never experienced something like that. And that's the only time I felt the emotions, the feelings of everyone in the stadium were at the same level.” He added.
Kohli remained unbeaten on 82 runs off 53 balls at a strike rate of 154.72 in the 160-run chase during the T20 World Cup 2022, thanks to six boundaries and four over boundaries.
The bittersweet side: Why Kohli calls his greatest innings his most emotionally draining too
Kohli noted that while he was struggling in 2022 and took a break for about a month and a half, he tried to push harder. But once he returned feeling relaxed, the right-handed batter celebrated a century against Afghanistan, ending a 1019-day wait for the hundred.

“In 2022, before, in that Asia Cup, is the time I got my 100 after two years. I had taken a month and a half off. It's not a good feeling. You're not playing well, and you decide to because your mind is telling you, ‘Do more, try more,’ and then it makes you feel bad immediately.” Kohli shared in the podcast.
But then you come back and start playing freely, and you're feeling all relaxed in your body. So, you can go back to that moment where you decided to step away, but then the accumulation of what it means, how you refocus, and you're playing the way you want to.” He concluded.
He also mentioned the Lord’s Test match against England in 2021, where the team came together and secured a 151-run win on the final day of the encounter.
