Virat Kohli, at the age of 37, has joined LinkedIn, where he has revealed his vision and the brand he has invested in through a long post. Apart from being a champion player, he has a strong eye for building brands. The veteran has been associated with many brands and is now an investor in the sportswear brand, Agilitas, and a co-founder of one8world.

Kohli recently featured in the three-match ODI series at home against West Indies, where he started off with a thrilling knock of unbeaten 139 runs at the Greenfield International Stadium in Kerala. However, it was a poor end for him with a golden duck in New Chandigarh.

What Virat Kohli said in his first LinkedIn post: Leadership, one8 and building Indian sports brands

Kohli spoke about his vision to build a sports platform from India, which spans manufacturing, consumer brands, and sports distribution, as he reflected on it in the post.

“I've always wanted to see an India where every sport is followed, celebrated, and played. Today, that vision feels closer than ever. A new generation is proving that India can produce world-class athletes and build brands for the global stage. The vision is to build an end-to-end sports platform from India, spanning manufacturing, consumer brands, and sports distribution.” Kohli expressed.

“It's a belief that India can help shape the future of global sport, not just participate in it. That's why I've joined Agilitas as an investor and as a co-founder and co-creator of one8world. one8 is built on a belief I've carried throughout my career: progress comes from pushing boundaries, raising standards, and daring to do things differently.” The right-handed batter penned down.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star promised to build something that will outlive everyone, and that would be the journey they would be on.

“That's how we introduced the brand to the world, and watching one8world come to life in front of thousands of people in my home city was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. The vision is clear. It's time to build something that will outlive all of us. That's the journey we're on.” Kohli concluded.
