Ahead of the 3rd Test of the ongoing 5-match series between England and India, a star-studded evening was held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, in London on July 8 (Tuesday). Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh arranged a fundraiser through his YouWeCan Foundation to raise funds for cancer care for women and children across India.

To mark this event special, team India's entire Test setup attended the event along with many greats of the game. Among those guests, Virat Kohli was one of the few who attracted most of the spotlight. Virat Kohli announced his retirement just a few days before India's tour to England, and now, he is in London but not a part of the national team in the Whites. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, and Ravi Shastri were among the stars who attended the program organized by Yuvraj. Famous television host Gaurav Kapoor hosted a candid chat featuring Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj, Pietersen, Gayle, and Gough. Kohli also participated in that initiative.

In this moment, Virat shared how special his bond is between him and Yuvraj Singh. He also showed gratitude to two other former cricketers, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan, for mentoring him to become an established cricketer.

Virat spoke about his relationship with Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Zaheer

"Watching him in the World Cup was very special, and what we got to know after that was a shock. Being so close to him… we had no idea. Then his battle with cancer and again the champion that he is… coming on top and making a comeback to the team when I was leading the team," Virat Kohli said.

"During a North Zone tournament in Bangalore. When I started playing for India, he, Bhajju Pa, and Zaheer Khan took me under their wings. They really helped me grow as a player and made me comfortable in the dressing room. A lot of fun times off the field, and they made me aware of the lifestyle of getting to the top. These are the bonds I will cherish for the rest of my life."
