After the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2026, Virat Kohli delivered a moment that went beyond the game itself. Following the final whistle, Kohli recreated the iconic open-arms pose of famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, instantly capturing the attention of fans both in the stadium and online. The gesture blended sport with popular culture, creating a memorable post-match highlight.

The match had already provided strong entertainment, with both teams showing competitive spirit and quality performances. As the intensity settled, Kohli’s light-hearted tribute added a celebratory tone to the atmosphere. Standing in the middle of the ground with arms stretched wide, he drew loud cheers from the crowd, while cameras and smartphones quickly captured the moment.

More than just a playful act, the gesture reflected Kohli’s ability to connect with fans beyond cricket. By referencing a widely recognised Bollywood symbol, he bridged two of India’s biggest passions—cricket and cinema. The moment quickly spread across social media, reinforcing Kohli’s status not only as a leading cricketer but also as a cultural icon.

Kohli Brings Bollywood Magic to the Cricket Field

After the match, Virat Kohli was seen sharing a relaxed moment with Ishant Sharma of the Gujarat Titans and his Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar. During their friendly exchange, Kohli suddenly broke into the iconic open-arms pose famously associated with Shah Rukh Khan, creating an instantly memorable moment that resonated with fans.

The spontaneous gesture, reminiscent of the classic “arms wide open” stance seen in Bollywood films, added a refreshing and cinematic touch to an otherwise intense encounter in the Indian Premier League 2026. While the match itself showcased high-quality cricket, Kohli’s playful tribute brought a sense of ease and entertainment to the post-match atmosphere.

Unsurprisingly, fans quickly took to social media, sharing clips and celebrating Kohli’s lively personality. The interaction between Kohli, Ishant Sharma, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also highlighted the strong camaraderie among Indian cricketers, even when representing different franchises. Although RCB’s performance remained central to the contest, it was Kohli’s Shah Rukh Khan-inspired pose that ultimately captured the spotlight, adding a distinct Bollywood flair to the evening.

Virat Kohli’s brilliant 81 powers Royal Challengers Bengaluru to comfortable win

Virat Kohli produced a match-winning knock of 81 off 44 deliveries to lead Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a convincing five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in their final home league fixture of IPL 2026. After being dropped on the very first ball by Washington Sundar, Kohli capitalised on the early reprieve and played with composure and intent. Chasing a challenging 205/3, RCB completed the task efficiently, moving to 10 points from seven matches and climbing to second place in the standings.

The chase was shaped by a crucial 115-run partnership between Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal, who contributed a brisk 55 off 27 balls. Their stand, which came in just 59 deliveries, effectively shifted the momentum in RCB’s favour. The duo combined fluency with controlled aggression, putting pressure on Gujarat’s experienced bowling unit, including Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada, and ensuring the required run rate remained well within reach.

Earlier, Sai Sudharsan had set the tone with an impressive century, guiding Gujarat Titans to a strong total. However, RCB’s response was equally dominant, especially during the first 10 overs when they raced to 118/1. Kohli’s innings not only anchored the chase but also took his tally to 328 runs for the season, helping him claim the Orange Cap from Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad, further underlining his consistency and impact this season.
