“Wasted Money on Crooks and Prostitutes”: Hasin Jahan slams Mohammed Shami in controversial Instagram post
In her recent Instagram post, Hasin Jahan did not hold back and called Mohammed Shami “characterless, greedy, and mean-minded.” She claimed that the Indian pacer spent money meant for their family on “crooks and prostitutes” and did everything he could to harass and humiliate her.

In a fiery Instagram post on July 4, Hasin Jahan launched an emotional and harsh attack on Mohammed Shami, accusing him of using money to bribe criminals and ruin her image over the years.
This case, which started in 2018 under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, remains one of Indian cricket’s most controversial off-field stories. Jahan, a former model, had accused Shami of domestic violence and cheating just four years after their marriage. Since then, the two have been locked in a bitter legal fight for over seven years.
In her latest post, Jahan wrote "I Love You" to Mohammed Shami, but the message turned into a long and angry rant.
Recently, the Calcutta High Court ordered Mohammed Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month as maintenance for Hasin Jahan and their daughter Aaira. According to the court order, Hasin Jahan will receive ₹1.5 lakh per month, while their daughter will get ₹2.5 lakh per month. This amount will be applicable from a back date of seven years. The lower court has also been directed to resolve the case within six months.

In her recent Instagram post, Hasin Jahan did not hold back and called Mohammed Shami “characterless, greedy, and mean-minded.” She claimed that the Indian pacer spent money meant for their family on “crooks and prostitutes” and did everything he could to harass and humiliate her.
She wrote, “Till my last breath, we will have a strong relationship, Inshallah. The only thing left is for you to decide what kind of strong relationship that will be. For 7 years, we’ve been involved in a legal battle. What have you gained from it? Because of being characterless, greedy, and mean-minded, you ended up destroying your own family. How many criminals did you bribe to harm me, defame me, harass me, and defeat me everywhere? Did you achieve anything?”
She added, “The money you wasted on crooks and prostitutes—if you had spent that on your daughter’s education, life, and future, and given me a good life, things would’ve been so much better. You would’ve been saved from sin, and we could’ve lived a respectful and dignified life.”
Hasin Jahan has made it clear that she is not stepping back and will continue to fight for her rights through the legal system. She ended her post with a warning to Shami and the people supporting him. She wrote, “Now I will take the help of the law, claim all our rights, and live happily, Inshallah. Now you think: which support is stronger—social or legal? But remember: all the antisocial people giving you moral support right now are supporting your sins. The day your bad time begins, these same people will make your life hell, Inshallah. Have faith in that.”
Her post came shortly after the Calcutta High Court ordered Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month as maintenance—₹1.50 lakh for Hasin Jahan and ₹2.50 lakh for their daughter Aaira. This amount will be paid from a back date covering the last seven years. The lower court has been told to finish the case within six months.
Despite all this, Mohammed Shami has remained silent. The fast bowler, who helped India win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 earlier this year, has stayed away from the media when it comes to his personal life. He is currently out of the Indian Test team due to fitness issues.
