An edge-of-the-seat thriller ended dramatically in the Big Bash League 2025–26 as 19-year-old Oliver Peake sealed a stunning win with a last-ball six. The moment came during the clash between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades, where the match stayed alive until the final delivery.

Chasing 128 under pressure, the Renegades needed four runs off the final ball, with the teenager on strike and the result hanging in the balance. The pressure was high as the crowd waited for the decisive moment.

As Aaron Hardie ran in to bowl the last delivery, the tension inside the stadium was clear. Peake moved across, backed his instincts, and smashed a full ball straight into the stands to finish the match in sensational style.
