[WATCH] Abhishek Sharma's flat four shocks fans during IND vs BAN Super 4 clash of Asia Cup 2025
Watch the video where the left-handed opening batter of India, Abhishek Sharma, ailed a flat four which shocked the fans during the Super 4 clash between India and Bangladesh from the Asia Cup 2025.

It was an unnatural start from the Indian openers during their second Super 4 encounter of the Asia Cup 2025 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The opponent bowlers used the right line and length and varied the pace beautifully to tackle the initial phase of the batters inside the powerplay.
But once Shubman Gill broke the jail with a boundary and followed it up with an over boundary, the blue brigade flew with open wings. Suddenly, all the plans of the opposition went for a toss as Abhishek Sharma also started to whack the big shots from the other end of the surface. The latter drilled a huge six to end the fifth over of the innings against Mustafizur Rahman.

But a shocking shot came on the second ball of the final powerplay over from Saifuddin. The bowler went full, but the southpaw converted it into a full toss and sliced it over the off-side to cross the rope. He continued the same aggressive brand of cricket and ended with three more boundaries from the over.

Two balls later, Rishad Hossain dismissed Shubman Gill on 29 runs in 19 balls, who looked to nail the flighted delivery out of the ground but was caught at the long-off region as Tanzim Hasan Sakib grabbed a fine, well-judged catch to dismiss the Test captain of the Indian side. That was, however, the seventh successive time India crossed 60 runs inside the powerplay.
Abhishek, soon with a single, notched up his half-century in just 25 balls. It was his third successive fifty in his event, having already done the milestone in the last two games against Oman and Pakistan.
But India again lost their second wicket in the form of Shivam Dube, who couldn’t time the ball and was dismissed for two runs in three balls. Abhishek nailed another six in the tenth over as they pused themselves to 91/2 in 9 overs, which was a good stage to get a huge score on the board.
