All eyes are on Colombo this weekend as arch-rivals India and Pakistan face each other in a high-stakes ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 match at R. Premadasa Stadium.

As expected, the Indian team left for Colombo on Friday morning for the match against Pakistan. The team took a special chartered flight from New Delhi and reached Colombo by the afternoon. The players looked happy and enjoyed each other’s company on the way.

The match is very important for Group A standings and Super 8 qualification. Both teams are unbeaten so far. The game promises excitement on and off the field, but the weather may also play an important role.

India’s Strong Start in T20 World Cup

The Indian team has been unstoppable in the ongoing T20 World Cup. India has played two games and won both. They won their first game against the USA and their second game against Namibia. The hosts beat Namibia by 93 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya were the stars for India. Hardik’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Injury Concern Ahead of Pakistan Clash

India faces some problems before the match against Pakistan. Abhishek Sharma has been unwell and missed the Namibia game. He is expected to recover in time for the Pakistan match. He could be a key player for India.

The Men in blues are clear favourites against Pakistan. India has beaten Pakistan three times in T20Is at the Asia Cup last year. India also has a strong record against Pakistan at World Cups, with 15 wins and 1 loss in ICC events. The match will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on February 15.
