[WATCH] Arshdeep Singh registers T20I milestone against Oman during Asia Cup 2025
Watch and enjoy the video where the left-arm pacer of the Indian side, Arshdeep Singh, has registered a huge milestone in the shortest format during their clash against the Oman side in the Asia Cup 2025.

India’s premier left-arm pacer didn’t feature in the first couple of games of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, due to India’s early qualification in the Super 4 stage of the event, the management decided to give Jasprit Bumrah a break, which opened the door for Arshdeep to come into the eleven.
Arshdeep Singh didn’t make a good start with the ball, which was expected after he didn’t play a single game in the five-match Test series against England in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, he featured in one clash at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru during the 2025 season of the Duleep Trophy.

On the opening ball of the last over of the second innings, Arshdeep got his first wicket of the evening. Vinayak Shukla looked to pull the pace but messed up with the timing and found the fielder, Rinku Singh, as Arshdeep became the first Indian men’s T20I bowler to pick 100 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh has become the quickest pacer to pick 100 wickets in the shortest format. He reached the milestone in just 64 games, while on the other hand, Rashid Khan remains at the top, achieving it in 53 games, and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga registered the record in 63 games. The other two in the list are Haris Rauf in 71 games, while Mark Adair did it in 72 innings.
For Oman, this was just the third score by an associate batter against India to celebrate 50 in the shortest format. Noor Zadran scored 50 in 2010 while the two Oman batters, Aamir Kaleem and Hammad Mirza, got their respective fifties in the innings.
167 runs is Oman's second-highest total against a full-member nation behind their 173/9 against Ireland at Al Amerat in 2019. After Nepal’s 179/9, Oman smashed the second-highest T20I score against India among the associate nations as their focus shifts to the Super 4 stage with the first game against Pakistan on September 21.
