[WATCH] Asia Cup 2025: Fan goes viral for wearing India jersey over Pakistan shirt during IND vs PAK clash
A fan stole the spotlight during IND vs PAK in Asia Cup 2025 by switching from a Pakistan jersey to an India one, as the Men in Blue cruised to a seven-wicket win.

An unusual moment in the stands stole as much attention as the action on the field during the Asia Cup 2025 fixture between India and Pakistan. The two long-time rival teams faced off in Match No. 6 of the tournament on Sunday, September 14, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. While India dominated the proceedings on the field, a fan’s unusual gesture off it went viral across social media.
Batting first against India, Pakistan struggled with India's bowling, managing just 127/9 in 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was the best bowler with 3/18, Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets each to keep applying pressure, and they bowled in a disciplined manner, ensuring Pakistan could never settle throughout the innings.
In reply, India easily chased down the target, with some good batting. Abhishek Sharma scored 31 runs off 13 balls, including four fours and two sixes, while Tilak Varma held his ground nicely with an even 31 runs from 31 balls. Suryakumar Yadav led from the front with the bat, scoring 47 runs off 37 balls, and led India to a comfortable seven-wicket victory, with 25 balls remaining.
Kuldeep’s Brilliance and Viral Fan Moment
Although the contest itself was one-sided, a fan's antics in the crowd drew the attention of the internet. The fan took off his Pakistan shirt and put on an India jersey, indicating a dramatic switch of allegiance, and that moment went viral online. The incident added a light-hearted touch to what was otherwise a politically tense fixture.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav was deservedly named Player of the Match for his outstanding spell. Speaking about his performance at the presentation, he said: “Simple. Just execute the plans. Just see who is batting and react accordingly. I had my plans and executed them. The first ball is always a wicket-taking ball, just have to go with that mindset and execute that wicket-taking ball. The batter may be set but he's facing me for the first time. I still feel I really need to work on my bowling. Sometimes I feel I use too many variations.” Kuldeep now leads the Asia Cup 2025 wicket charts with seven scalps from just two games, underlining his red-hot form.
