Notably, the hot take around Bangladesh cricket at the moment is their non-participation in the T20 World Cup 2026, as the ICC has asked them to travel to India, which they are not ready to follow due to security concerns, and wrote to the International Cricket Council within two letters. In that case, Scotland is set to replace them in the tournament.
