On the last ball of Oman's batting innings during the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, Zimbabwe's Brian Bennett grabbed a fine air-borne catch to get viral on the social media platforms.

Both Zimbabwe and Oman were excellent during their respective opening encounter of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Oman, despite the defeat, would be really proud of their feelings in the outfield with all the direct hits that they got. On the other hand, Zimbabwe were excellent with their catching, with some of the fabulous catches being shown around the field.
On the last ball of Oman’s innings, Nadeem Khan went for a massive hit where Brian Bennett grabbed an incredible running catch to end the innings at deep mid-wicket. It was a back-of-the-hand slower ball from Brad Evan, angled to the left-handed batter, who came down the track to nail a big shot.

Ahead of their next clash in the morning a few days later against Australia, Zimbabwe would be little concerned about the fitness test of their wicket-keeper batter, Brendan Taylor, who seemed to have pulled up his hamstring while coming back for the second towards the end of the game as their captain, Sikander Raza, confirmed in the post-match presentation ceremony.
Brief Scores: Zimbabwe 106/2 (Brian Bennett 48*, Sufyan Mehmood 2/12) vs Oman 103 (Vinayak Shukla 28, Blessing Muzrabani 3/16) by eight wickets.
