Watch: Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad reveals team’s new jersey ahead of IPL 2026

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday unveiled their jersey for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL)season. The unveiling featured captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and batsman Ayush Mhatre, along with Managing Director and CEO Shenu Agarwal and Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja. 

Ashok Leyland has been announced as the new main sponsor of Chennai Super Kings for the 2026 IPL season. The company’s logo will appear on the front right chest of the team’s jersey.

The partnership was revealed on Friday at Ashok Leyland’s headquarters in Chennai. Company chairman Dheeraj Hinduja and Managing Director and CEO Shenu Agarwal were joined by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and India Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Ayush Mhatre for the official announcement.

Ashok Leyland Becomes CSK’s New Main Sponsor

In this mega event, Ashok Leyland Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja said, “Through this partnership, we celebrate our shared values of resilience and high performance. We are proud to support a team that has brought immense pride to our home city.”

K S Viswanathan, Managing Director of Chennai Super Kings, said, “The partnership brings together two institutions known for performance, resilience, and strong community connections.”

Meanwhile, CSK have already begun their pre-season camp last week for the 19th season of the Indian Premier League. The five-time champions are training at their High Performance Centre in Navalur under assistant coach Rajiv Kumar and assistant bowling coach S. Sriram. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and former captain M.S. Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Saturday. They joined Indian players Ayush Mhatre, Urvil Patel, Mukesh Choudhary, and Prashant Veer, who were already training.

The overseas players are expected to arrive later this month. Head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Eric Simons will join by March 16.

Since winning their fifth title under M.S. Dhoni in 2023, the Chennai Super Kings have faced two difficult seasons. The team missed the playoffs in 2024 and finished at the bottom last year.
