Watch: Delhi Capitals welcome newlyweds Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika with heartwarming gesture ahead of IPL 2026

The Delhi Capitals (DC) will start their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign on April 1 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow. The DC are one of those few teams that have yet to win the title. They have reached the playoffs on several occasions but haven't laid their hands on the trophy yet. Hence, under Axar Patel, the franchise will look to do something different this time. 

Meanwhile, ahead of the tournament, DC have welcomed the newlywed Kuldeep Yadav into the squad with a huge celebration, showcasing the love and warmth they have for each teammate. Both Kuldeep and his wife, Vanshika, were present during the celebrations. 

DC players celebrate Kuldeep Yadav’s wedding with special moment

DC's spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, recently got married on March 14 in Mussoorie to his childhood friend, Vanshika. They tied the knots in a private ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends. A few of the Indian cricket team members were also present during the wedding, including fielding coach T Dilip, Tilak Varma, and others. After the wedding, Kuldeep joined the squad recently ahead of the tournament, and he received a grand welcome. 

The newlywed came to the venue in a stunning convertible car with people playing instruments around them. The couple seemed to enjoy the entire show as they were spotted singing and dancing while sitting in the car. Then they received a warm welcome in the team hotel as well. DC released a video on social media for the fans. They ended the video with a sweet gesture where they wrote Mr and Mrs Kuldeep first and then struck it off. They then wrote Mrs and Mr Vanshika and ended the video.

Who is Vanshika? All about Kuldeep Yadav’s wife

Vanshika is Kuldeep Yadav's childhood friend. They grew up together, living just a few miles away in Kanpur. Their bond became stronger as they grew up and pursued their career in different fields. She has largely stayed out of the public spotlight and maintains a low profile.

Reports indicate she has worked as a manager with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). She holds an administrative or managerial role within the organisation. The newly turned bride has stayed away from social media and the limelight. Reportedly, she is not even very active on social media and doesn't even attend matches, unlike other wives and girlfriends.
