India is hosting the West Indies in a two-Test match series, with the first test begins at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on October 2. The Indian team made some changes for this game, bringing in wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel and the return of spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Jurel replaced the injured Rishabh Pant and quickly showed his value behind the stumps.

In just the second over, Jurel made a stunning catch. A ball from Mohammed Siraj went down the leg side to West Indies’ Tegnarine Chanderpaul, who edged it. Jurel dived to his left from the second slip region and held on, sending the opener back to the pavilion. This early breakthrough set the tone for India’s bowling dominance.

Later in the innings, Jurel again impressed when he took a sharp catch off Jasprit Bumrah's bowling to dismiss John Campbell .His alertness and confidence behind the stumps showed he is a key player for India’s red-ball team. Even when Rishabh Pant returns for future series, Jurel has made a strong case to stay in the squad.
