The former Pakistan captain and premier spin all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, has responded to the crash of an Indian fighter jet during the Dubai Airshow on November 22. Afridi is also confident of Pakistan’s successful campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. He also spoke about the inclusion of the two new sides in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as he called it a positive move and said players who struggled to get chances would now have more chances to play.

On November 22, an Indian Air Force fighter jet, Tejas crashed during an aerobatic stunt at the Dubai Airshow. The Indian Air Force confirmed the crash and the pilot’s death. The officials have revealed that the Tejas went down at 2:10 in the evening, and an inquiry committee would be investigating the cause of the accident.
During the ongoing tri-series in Pakistan, Sri Lanka posted 128 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs with Janith Liyanage getting 41 unbeaten runs in 38balls with the help of three boundaries and one six at a strike rate of 107.89. Kamil Mishra and Kushal Perera collected 20+ runs each in their individual knocks, but none of them were enough for a strong score on the board.
In reply, Pakistan completed the chase by seven wickets in 15.3 overs as Sahibzada Farhan got an unbeaten 80 in 45 balls at a strike rate of 177.78, thanks to six boundaries and five sixes. They earned the victory with seven wickets in hand.
