Watch Elon Musk reacting to the viral video on the social media of the former ODI captain of the Indian side, Rohit Sharma, driving his newly bought Tesla Model Y car with an unique number plate.
The former Indian ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, was spotted driving a brand-new Tesla Model Y in Mumbai. It also has a special number plate, as the video of him driving the car ahead of the three-match ODI series against Australia down under went viral on social media platforms. He was recently removed from the 50-over leadership.
The Tesla registration number pf the India batter ends with “3015,” which holds a sentimental meaning. The reports claimed that the digits combine the birthdates of Rohit Sharma’s children. Social media has shared a glimpse of the case, which is a sleek electric SUV. The Tesla Model Y was recently launched in India at a price range of INR 59.89 lakh and INR 67.89 lakh.
Now, Elon Musk has retweeted the viral video. He has an integral hands-on relationship with Tesla as he joined them as an early investor in 2004 and took on the roles of CEO and product architect in 2018. Even though he is not the founder, his leadership from the company’s early days has been instrumental in the company’s rise.

The Model Y Long Range packs an impressive performance and technology as its rear-drive electric motor produces 295 bhp to allow a sprint of 0-100 kmph in just six seconds. It also has advanced safety with the 360-degree camera, autonomous emergency braking, and a complete ADAS as the car comes in six color options.
Rohit, who has retired from the longest and shortest formats of the game, will be back in the national side for the first time since February this year. He will also be back in the field since the end of the IPL 2025, which seeks the eyes of his consistency and rhythm with the bat against Australia.
Having won the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Champions Trophy 2025 under his captaincy, the Nagpur-born will now hope to help the Blue Brigade earn their third ODI World Cup in the 2027 season in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
