Sachin Tendulkar Receives CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at BCCI Naman Awards

Mumbai, February 1, 2025 – Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar was conferred upon with the highest honour given by India's cricket governing body to one of its own as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) bestowed him with the much revered CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at the BCCI Naman Awards.
The moment the name of Tendulkar was announced, the whole gathering stood up as one to welcome the legendary cricketing icon into their midst in a grand ovation. They showered immense respect and reverence for the sporting legend. It was a highly emotional and nostalgic moment as every individual present saw it as reminding him of that two-decade long career where Tendulkar had served his nation by his game.

He thanked the BCCI for giving him this huge honor in the acceptance speech during his speech and said that along with discipline, dedication, there are values that are also inherent in the game. "Cricket has given me everything in life, and I am deeply humbled to receive this award. I only hope to further inspire young cricketers by following their hearts and working as hard as their dreams," he said.

Quite a few former cricketers were present at the event, some of whom remain in the Indian national team as well, besides top BCCI officials. Quite a few among them shared the memories of their watching Tendulkar bat and how they got inspired because of him and how his colleagues remembered his phenomenal work ethic, humility, and commitment to cricket as tireless.
