Naturally, fans, who were in the stadium to see the match live, were not happy with the decision. One of the fans said to the media that he bought his match tickets by selling three sacks of wheat to buy a ticket for the match. He demanded a refund, as the match was cancelled.
"I had sold three sacks of wheat to buy a ticket for this match; I want my ticket money back. Apart from this, another fan said that the ticket and the refund money do not matter; we wanted to watch this match. We are all very disappointed with the cancellation of the match," the fan said to the media.
Another fan also expressed his dissatisfaction over the decision to cancel the match. He claimed that for the past several days, Lucknow experienced a heavy layer of fog. So why did the board (BCCI) not take action in advance? The question was raised.

The match was scheduled to start at 7:00 PM IST at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, but the visibility reduced heavily because of heavy fog on the field. Following this, the umpires inspected the ground six times, and at their final inspection at 9:25 PM, they decided to cancel the match due to excessive fog.
The final match of the five-match T20 series will now be played on December 19th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The fifth and the final match of the series will decide the fate of the series. After the 3rd match, where Team India was the winner, the scoreline of the contest reads 2-1. If India wins the fifth match, they will win it by 3-1, and if South Africa gets victory in Ahmedabad, then it will be two all and the series will end in a draw.
