New Zealand faced the old start in their 239-run chase during the opening T20 I of the five-match series at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur as they lost two wickets for one run on the board in nine legal balls into the second innings. They needed contributions from the top order batter, and Glenn Phillips, fresh from his Indore century, stood out.

Out of his six sixes, the most impressive one was the pull shot that he played against Shivam Dube, where he rocked back on his back foot and pulled the short delivery over long gone regions for a massive 105 meters six as the ball sailed into the top tier of the stand, where the crowd tried to get a touch of the ball.
