The domestic left-arm spinner of the Indian side, Harpreet Brar, was part of the Punjab Kings side that ended as the runners-up of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With the bat, he had a decent season with the ball to earn success.

Brar picked up 10 wickets in seven innings during the 2025 edition of the IPL at an average of 19 and a strike rate of 13.2 with an economy rate of nearly nine at the best bowling figure of 3/22 in an inning. The left-arm spinner over the year has done a decent job with the ball in the middle overs to hold the batters from playing the big shots.

He shared a funny video with his friends on Instagram that has gone viral on various social media platforms. In that video, one of his friends asked him to multiply two numbers, to which Brar shivered his body to provide the correct answer.

On the second question of the same multiplication, Brar made the same action to offer the right answer. However, the third attempt was different. This time, his friend asked another friend to hold both hands of the spinner tightly and then asked the question, only to get the wrong answer.

Overall in his career, the left-arm spinner from the Punjab side has picked up 19 wickets in 17 innings at an average of 32.26 and a strike rate of 42.7 with an economy rate of under five in the List A career. On the other hand, in T20s, he has collected 87 scalps in 93 innings at an average of 25.18 and a strike rate of nearly 21 with an economy rate of 7.39.

Brar is expected to return in action during the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 and later in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26 season, along with the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He will look to develop his skills with the ball and little with the bat in the middle overs of the innings.
