[WATCH] IND vs WI: Jasprit Bumrah Bowls Johann Layne in Quick Succession
Jasprit Bumrah shines on Day 1 of IND vs WI 1st Test, uprooting Johann Layne and Justin Greaves with unplayable Yorkers as India bowl out West Indies for 162.

Jasprit Bumrah stole the show on the opening day of the first Test between India and West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, producing a masterclass in fast bowling. After losing the toss, India’s bowlers bundled out the visitors for just 162, with Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj sharing seven wickets between them.
Bumrah’s Unplayable Yorker
Bumrah claimed three wickets, including the key dismissals of John Campbell, Justin Greaves, and debutant Johann Layne. His highlight was a perfectly executed yorker that bowled Greaves for 32, leaving the West Indies batter helpless. In his next over, Bumrah also removed Layne, finishing with figures of 3/42 in 14 overs.
This performance helped Bumrah surpass Australian legend Brett Lee in the number of 'bowled' dismissals in Test cricket. He now has 65 wickets bowled, just one shy of fellow Indian pacer Mohammed Shami (66).
