The India women will lock horns with Australia during the third and final ODI of the three-match series against Australia on September 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as the series is poised at the 1-1 position after the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side earned a huge victory by 102 runs during the second game at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Before the clash, the BCCI women have released a video to reveal their exciting initiative of wearing pink jerseys for the Delhi encounter to promote breast cancer awareness. Their opening batter, Pratika Rawal, shared her views on the great stand of the Indian board.
“This pink jersey is a reminder of a bigger fight. And strength for this fight against breast cancer comes from early detection. And practice life-saving skills.” Rawal revealed during a recent video posted by the BCCI women.

Along with Rawal, the spin all-rounder of the Indian side, Sneh Rana, delivered her view on the initiative. In the last fixture against the Alyssa Healy-led side, the right-handed batter clubbed 24 runs in 18 balls at a strike rate of 133.33 with the help of three boundaries.
“This Pink jersey is just more than a symbol. It’s a call to build a lifesaving habit. Together, let’s fight against breast cancer and give ourselves a hug of life.” Sneh Rana told in the video that he picked up the lone wicket of Beth Mooney on 18 runs in her six overs during the second innings.
"Every day, we play with uncertainties. And this pink jersey is a reminder for you to be prepared. Let’s make breast self-examination a monthly routine. And take a stand against breast cancer.” India’s captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, addressed. The right-handed batter has struggled in the first couple of games of the series and will look to prepare the best ahead of the upcoming 2025 season of the Women’s World Cup of 50-over format in India and Sri Lanka, and also aim to win the ongoing home ODI series against Australia.
