The Indian High Commission in London hosted a special dinner for the India Women’s Cricket

In a moving gesture, the High Commission of India in London organized a special dinner at India House to celebrate the Indian Women's Cricket Team, who are touring England for a white-ball series. The function, which took place on July 5, was organized by Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami and had players, support staff, the Indian diaspora, diplomats, media, and cricket fans from all over the UK attending.

The team's achievements and the growing appeal of women's cricket in India were celebrated that evening. In his impassioned speech, High Commissioner Doraiswami praised the players as symbols of a "rising India bold, concentrated, and brimming with promise." He emphasized how their story has broken down barriers and reshaped dreams, inspiring millions of young girls in India and around the world.

The crowd enthusiastically greeted the Indian team, which was led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana.
