“I think initially I was just trying to stay focused, I just kept talking to myself. But towards the end, I was quoting one scripture from the Bible. Because I had lost energy, I was exhausted. I was drained, and one scripture that said, "Just stand still and God will fight for you". And that's what I did. And I just stood there, and he fought for me. This was the first time a 300-lus total was gunned down in an ODI World Cup knockout, irrespective of men’s and women’s. This is also the highest successful chase of 339 runs in Women’s ODIs against Australia in this fixture. By doing this, they have qualified for the final of the WODI for the third time, post 2005 and 2017.

With the bat, the Alyssa Healy-led side posted 338 runs in 49.5 overs, thanks to opener Phoebe Litchfield’s splendid knock of 119 runs in 93 balls with the help of 17 boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 127.96. India will now lock horns with South Africa for the final on November 02 at the same venue in Navi Mumbai. Neither team has won the World Cup before.
