KL Rahul is currently on a different level after joining Delhi Capitals (DC) from Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul's sublime batting display keeps DC in the race to the IPL 2025 playoffs, and on the personal front, the right-handed classy batter has been adding runs to his account with ease in the ongoing season.
Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani praised the versatile batter for his excellence against Gujarat Titans, where he hammered a swift century. Rahul played an unbeaten 112-run innings off 65 balls, and in total, DC put up 199 in the 20-over limit, which proved not enough for them to overtake Gujarat Titans.
With the help of in-form Sai Sudharsan (108*) and skipper Shubman Gill (93*), GT scripted a 10-wicket win over DC. Despite the match result, where Delhi fell short, it couldn't dim the elegant batting from KL Rahul. Rahul in this centurion innings cleared the boundary line 14 times for 4s and 4 times for 6s.

Against Gujarat, DC management utilized Rahul as an opener; in their previous games, he played as the number four batter and got a good amount of runs as well. Badani is totally impressed with the ability of Rahul to bat in multiple positions according to the team's needs.
In a video shared by Delhi Capitals, we can see how the DC head coach praised the star Indian batter by saying, "A guy gets to bat at 3 one game, gets to bat at 4 one game, and gets to bat at 3 another day. Getting to the bat opening for the very first time, he turns up to get a massive hundred; that is setting standards. And that is the standard I want from all of us. I think the standard is set high by someone who is showing the caliber that is required to play at this level."
