The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are having a tough time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, and they are in tenth place in the points table. The team is struggling with finding a balance, and the batting has taken a back seat. Even captain Rishabh Pant has failed to perform in the tournament, which has been a real concern for the Super Giants.

Players like Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, and others, who were in terrific form in the previous season, have failed to score runs. So far, LSG have won just two out of eight matches in this tournament. Meanwhile, LSG's star bowler Mohsin Khan, who was ruled out of the IPL 2025, praised Mohammed Shami for helping him out after injury. Mohsin sustained a calf injury and had to miss the entire IPL to undergo surgery and then the recovery process.

Mohsin Khan opens up on support received from Mohammed Shami after injury setback

Mohsin Khan revealed the support he received from Mohammed Shami during his recovery phase. He mentioned that Shami helped him throughout the process and also gave him the time and space to use his things. Both the players trained in the stadium and the gym and that helped Mohsin massively in scripting a comeback.

"It was almost 14-15 months after my operation Shami bhai helped me a lot. I used to use his things a lot. In the ground and the gym, he helped me a lot. When I needed something, even when I didn't need anything, he was always there. Everybody has expectations from me that when I'll make a comeback. That's why I am trying what I had done before to do and make myself better," said Mohsin Khan in the video uploaded by LSG.

He was very afraid: Mohammed Shami

LSG's star bowler Mohammed Shami also revealed that Mohsin Khan was scared to start his recovery journey. He was afraid of walking and jogging. However, things went on smoothly once he started doing things again. Shami explained how he spoke to the doctor and assured Mohsin that he would be fine, and it happened within 3-4 days of practising.

"When he had come at that time, it was very difficult. He was very afraid, even to walk and run. He was feeling uncomfortable at the starting phase. Then I asked him, "Why are you scared?" He said, "Bhaiya, now I have just come out of the crutches so I don't have that confidence to even comfortably jog. Then I spoke to the doctor, I told him to not take any tension. If anything happens I'll let you know. Till then I asked him to leave Mohsin with me. Then within 3-4 days, he was jogging and catching as well," said Mohammed Shami in the same video.
