Watch: Ishan Kishan crazy scoop six vs USA in T20 world Cup 2026
Ishan Kishan played a stunning scoop six early in the innings as India struggled against USA in Group A Match 3 of the T20 World Cup 2026.

USA shocked the defending champions India in a spectacular Match 3 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The game was played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on February 7. USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first. His decision paid off as India struggled badly early on.
India’s innings got off to a disastrous start when Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a golden duck by Ali Khan. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma tried to steady the innings with a 37-run stand. India reached 44/1 after five overs, giving hope to the home crowd. But that hope did not last long.
The sixth over turned into a nightmare for India as they collapsed from 45/2 to 46/4 in just four balls. It became one of India’s lowest powerplay scores in recent years. The sudden fall of wickets completely shifted momentum in favour of the USA. The Men in Blue found themselves under serious pressure very early in the innings.

One rare bright moment for India came very early at the 0.5 over mark. After Saurabh Netravalkar started with four consecutive dot balls, Kishan broke the shackles by bending his back knee and scooping a good-length delivery over the deep square leg fence for a massive six. It was a shot of pure authority that briefly energized the Mumbai crowd, though his innings was cut short at 20 runs off 16 balls.

After the early collapse, captain Suryakumar Yadav tried to hold the innings together. But he continued fighting at 36 from 31 balls. Support was limited as Rinku Singh and Hardik Pandya fell cheaply. By the 15th over, India were struggling at 104/6.
The USA bowling unit was outstanding throughout the innings. Shadley van Schalkwyk turned the match with a stunning triple-wicket over, removing Kishan, Tilak Varma (25), and Shivam Dube for a duck. Ali Khan struck early, while spinners Harmeet Singh and Mohammad Mohsin controlled the middle overs. Their disciplined effort put the USA on the verge of a historic T20 World Cup upset.
