Runs are always a massive currency for any better, and Ishan Kishan found himself in the same position heading into the T20 World Cup 2026 as he batted at number three during the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which is a great preparation for the Blue Brigade ahead of the ICC event.

Hilarious clip point divider around the social media platforms where Ishan Kishan lost control of his bat on the third ball of the fifth over against Mitchell Santner, where he swung hard as the back slipped out of his hands and flew towards square leg. The left-handed batter got an inside edge towards the left side as Tim Seifert had a smile before exchanging a few words with the batter in a smiley way.

Kishan scored 76 runs in just 30 deliveries at a strike rate of 237.50, thanks to his eleven boundaries and four sixes. He celebrated his 50 in just 21 deliveries inside the power play of the second innings, which is the second highest by an Indian batter in that period after Abhishek Sharma, who managed 58 runs against England last year in Mumbai.

His 122-run partnership for the second wicket with Suryakumar Yadav came in just 48 deliveries.

Earlier in the game, New Zealand posted 208 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs as their leader, Mitchell Santner, remained unbeaten on 47 runs in 27 deliveries at a strike rate of over 170 with the help of six boundaries and one six, where Rachin Ravindra made 44 runs in just 26 deliveries.

Brief Scores: India 206/3 (Suryakumar Yadav 80, Ishan Kishan 76, Ish Sodhi 1/34) vs New Zealand 208/6 (Mitchell Santner 47*, Kuldeep Yadav 2/35).
