The left-handed opening batter of the Indian cricket team, Ishan Kishan, has smashed the leg spinner of the Pakistan side, Shadab Khan, for a massive six in the India-Pakistan meeting during the T20 World Cup 2026.

Heading into the T20 World Cup 2026 encounter between India and Pakistan at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the focus was on the opening partnership of the blue brigade. Abhishek Sharma failed for a four-ball duck in the very first over of the fixture after his mistimed shot ended up in the hands of the fielder inside the circle.
But the first big shot of the evening came from Ishan Kishan, who pulled the left-arm pacer, Shaheen Afridi, with a massive six over the square leg region as the ball sailed over the boundary rope. And he didn’t look back at all, with another six coming on the first ball of Abrar Ahmed.

But one of the biggest and best shots of the evening came against Shadab Khan by Kishan as the left-handed batter nailed a massive six with a slog-sweep over the crowd. The ball sailed into the stands as Kishan continued his aggressive shots around the park. He smashed the very next ball behind the square region for a boundary.

Kishan completed his 50 with three successive boundaries in 27 balls, as the ball on which he got the boundary was slammed against Abrar Ahmed. It was the third fastest 50 in an India-Pakistan meeting in terms of bold in the shortest moment of the game, with Mohammad Hafeez continuing to be at the top spot in 23 balls in 2012.
Kishan was finally dismissed for 77 runs in 40 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 192.50, thanks to 10 boundaries and three sixes, while his partner ended up with a four-ball duck. Tilak Varma, on the other hand, continued to struggle for his 12 runs in 10 balls.
Salman Agha took the right decision to open the bowling as he returned with figures of 1/10 in two overs. Saim Ayub was also decent with figures of 1/23 in three overs.
