Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah showed his dedication to fans through his special act which he performed before India's T20 World Cup 2026 match against Namibia in Delhi. A young fan managed to slip past security outside the team hotel and ran towards Bumrah as the players were heading to the team bus following a dinner hosted by head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Bumrah stayed calm while security tried to stop the fan because he first stopped to smile and permit the fan to take a quick selfie which later became a popular social media moment. The heartwarming interaction demonstrated how the pacer maintained his humble personality while cricket fans showed their deep admiration for him.
The incident took place before India played its Group-stage match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium which the Men in Blue planned to use for their continuing tournament success.

Bumrah had missed India’s opening match of the World Cup against the United States cricket team because of his illness. India achieved a strong 29-run win at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium because captain Suryakumar Yadav played a heroic inning of 84 runs without getting out. The bowling unit also impressed, with Mohammed Siraj leading the attack with figures of 3 for 29.
