Jasprit Bumrah, India’s premier fast bowler, was present on the YouTube channel of Sportsbibble, where he was put into the contest of snack wars between the foods of India and the United Kingdom. The hosts offered two different foods from the places to the fast bowler, who had to choose one of those two.

Between Scampi Fries of the UK and Bhujia of India, he pointed out the quantity of the two packets. He recalled the young days when they used to fight around the portion of Bhujia before wondering whether he would go for nostalgia or a new dish. At the end, he picked Scampi Fries of the United Kingdom.

Pickled Walnuts and Pakoda were the next two foods where the premier Indian pacer chose another food from the UK, even after being confused about what to eat them with. On the next plate, the discussion was between Twiglets and Chakli, and after a couple of tastes, he decided to go with the Indian food, Chakli.

Next on the list were Chicken Biriyani and Fish Chips. Bumrah, after a couple of bites from both dishes, went with the Biriyani, despite tasting the new flavor. The last dish was between Greggs Cheese and Onion Bake and Vegetable Samosa. He didn’t take much time before going with the Indian food.

Bumrah, who missed the fifth and final Test of the recently concluded five-match Test series in England at the Kennington Oval in South London, ended the series with 14 wickets in three games. The management was clear with the view of going with the Ahmedabad-born in three games to manage his workload in the longest format. He also picked up a couple of five-wicket hauls during the two clashes at Lord’s and Leeds.

Bumrah has overall picked 219 wickets in 91 innings at an average of under 20 and a strike rate of 42.60, with the help of 15 five-wicket and seven four-wicket hauls at the best bowling figures of 6/27 in an innings. He is likely to miss the upcoming home Test series in the West Indies but could return in action for the away Australia white-ball series.
