The Oval Invincibles batter Jordon Cox entered a six-hitting mode during the 16th fixture of The Hundred competition on Saturday. Facing up against Welsh Fire, Cox unleashed a barrage of brutal shots to bring the entire stadium to its feet. The right-handed batter was dismissive in his approach and showed no mercy while going after the Welsh Fire bowlers.

While his six-hitting exhibition left everyone in awe, a key moment stood out from this entertaining fixture. His most brutal onslaught came to the fore when he came face-to-face with Ajeet Singh Dale after the completion of 60 legal deliveries. What followed in the next five deliveries was sheer carnage.

Dale was greeted with a massive six over deep midwicket on the very first ball of the over. Unbelievably, his next two deliveries were also dispatched for a six. By then, Cox was already on a roll. He delivered a hat-trick of sixes, all of which had come on the leg side. The next two deliveries from Dale saw some respite before Cox outsmarted him with an audacious reverse ramp, which also went flying out of the ground for a maximum.

Watch the carnage unfold:

Dale ended with disappointing figures of 0-46 in his 15 deliveries. But on the contrary, Cox had the time of his life as he launched a total of 10 sixes and three fours in his 29-ball blitzkrieg. He stayed unbeaten on 86 and powered the Invincibles to a daunting score of 226. As fate would have it, the target proved way beyond the reach of Welsh Fire as they were bundled out for only 143. Jordan Cox was understandably awarded the Player of the Match (POTM) award for his unbelievable heroics with the bat. On the back of a crushing 83-run victory, the Oval Invincibles were able to topple the Northern Superchargers from the top of the points table and are now in possession of the top spot.
